Megastar Chiranjeevi is coming back onto the silver screen after three years with 'Acharya'. Written and directed by Koratala Siva, the social drama is all set to arrive on 29th April. The film is carrying a lot of hype and expectations as it will have Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan acting together. The father and son duo are expected to send the fans into a euphoria while watching the movie in theatres.

The makers have started promoting the film quite aggressively. They released four songs and a theatrical trailer already. Now, they released a special interview where Charan and Koratala Siva revealed a lot of interesting things about the movie. Koratala Siva looked very confident about the film and explained how he finds Charan as the perfect fit for a Gurukul boy role.

Talking about working with his father, Ram Charan stated that it was tough to convince Rajamouli first as the star hero's dates were with the 'RRR' director. He added that Chiranjeevi convinced Rajamouli which led to him becoming a part of this prestigious project. Ram Charan said that it is his mother Surekha's wish to see both of them together.

Though Chiru made guest appearances in 'Magadheera' and 'Bruce Lee' whereas Charan appeared in Megastar's 'Khaidi No.150', playing a solid role in 'Acharya' alongside his father is very special for Charan.

Produced by Matinee Entertainments banner, Chiranjeevi's wife Surekha Konidela is presenting this film. Kajal Agarwal is the heroine for Chiru while Pooja Hegde will be romancing Charan in this movie. Mani Sharma is the music composer. There are a lot of noted artists in this project which takes place in a fictional village named Dharmasthali. Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Thirunavikkarasu is the cinematographer while Navin Nooli is the editor.
