Ram Pothineni is riding high with the stupendous success of 'iSmart Shankar'. His next flick titled 'RED' was formally launched recently and it will be directed by Kishore Tirumala of 'Nenu Sailaja' fame. Already, Sravanthi Movies announced April 9th as the release date.
On the other hand, Geetha Arts is contemplating on releasing #AkhilAkkineni4 on the same date to take complete advantage of Holidays. April 9th happens to be Thursday. Good Friday is on April 10th. While the Weekend is on April 11th and 12th, BR Ambedhkar's birth anniversary is on April 14th. Which Production House want to ignore such a golden period, that too during the Summer season?
None of the three previous films starring Akhil performed well at the Box Office. So, He pinned all his hopes on the Bommarillu Bhaskar-directorial. He can't get a better date than April 9th to test his luck for the fourth time. Backing from Allu Aravind could prompt Sravanthi Movies to re-think on the release date.
There is still over 5 months time left for the release of these two films. Anything could happen by that time...clash could be averted if one of the films gets preponed or postponed. Let's only wish both the projects prove to be lucky for the buyers.
