Jackie Chan has been entertaining the global audience with his wonderful action films for the past several decades. He has millions of fans worldwide. Even though is a universal star, his humility and down-to-earth character impresses the audience. He says that his poor background & strict upbringing is the reason for his humility. But he is dejected over his son attitude. He has shared his feelings about his son Jaycee Chan during a programme recently.
First, he remembered about his father. He said that he was from poor family.. his father brought him up strictly. His father used to teach him good habits like leaving the footwear in the corner near the door and respecting elders etc. But he felt sad that his son never does that. He was brought up in America and he is habituated to Western culture. Whenever he enters his house, he throws the footwear wherever he wishes.
Jackie Chan went on to say that his son doesn't know how to respect elders when they greet him. He doesn't get up to greet them with respect. He didn't imbibe that culture. Even though he thinks of scolding him to teach him some manners, he is scared of him that he might file cases on him. That's the reason why he is silent regarding his son.
It is to be remembered that Jaycee Chan was arrested in a drugs related offence sometime back. Whatever be the case, one has to accept the fact that one can win the entire world..but it is not easy to win at home!
