Gunjan Saxena-The Kargil Girl To Directly Release On Netflix

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, starring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role, is all set to stream directly on the OTT skipping the traditional theatrical release. This film is jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios.
Filmmaker Karan Johar on Tuesday announced that the movie will be streamed on Netflix.
Johar took to Twitter to post a one minute long clip, chronicling the life of Saxena. "Her inspirational journey made history. This is her story. Gunjan Saxena - #TheKargilGirl, coming soon on Netflix. #GunjanSaxenaOnNetflix," he captioned the video.
"Gunjan Saxena is a defining film based on a true story about a woman who showed unparalleled courage, and inspiration to many in the coming years. We are excited to partner with Netflix and share this fearless story about following your heart and your dreams with millions around the world.," Karan Johar said on the OTT release.
This is directed by Sharan Sharma and is made on the life of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena who, along with Srividya Rajan, became the first Indian women fighter pilots to fly into a war zone during the 1999 Kargil War. The release date for the movie is not yet locked.
