'Arjun Reddy' created a huge sensation at the box office and it has impressed youth cutting across the language barriers. The movie is being remade into several languages. While Vikram's son Dhruv is debuting as a hero with 'Arjun Reddy' Tamil remake, Shahid Kapoor is playing Vijay Deverakonda role in Hindi remake. The expectations are high on the remakes.
Meanwhile, there is an interesting talk going on regarding the heroine of Hindi remake. The makers have initially approached Sridevi daughter Janhvi Kapoor for reprising Shalini Pandey role. But Janhvi's mentor Karan Johar suggested not to take up the remake of 'Arjun Reddy'. It is known that Karan is a senior filmmaker and he felt that it is not good for Janhvi's career to take up such a bold film in the initial stages of her career. So, Janhvi didn't sign 'Arjun Reddy' Hindi remake.
On the other hand, Janhvi is making her film debut with 'Dhadak'. Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar is the hero of this film. The movie is a remake of Marathi super hit film 'Sairat'. 'Dhadak' is slated for release on July 20.
