By: Tupaki Desk | 24 March 2015 4:27 PM GMTActress-turned-Politician Jayasudha's Panel which is in fray for MAA Association elections held a pressmeet Today.
Jayasudha: "I haven't been in race for MAA President post all of a sudden. I have the experience of working as MAA Vice President and Treasurer in the past. Though I am younger than Rajendra Prasad and Murali Mohan, I am senior to them in the Industry. For the first time, A woman is contesting for MAA President post. I have been very successful since the 43 years as an actress in a Male Dominated Industry."
"Initially, I was reluctant to contest when Murali Mohan came up with the proposal. But, I changed my decision upon hearing some insulting remarks. My political career has given me the strength to face defeat. Women should be given an opportunity."
"I will use my experience as politician and stature as ex-MLA for betterment of MAA. I assure on behalf of my team that we will word hard to deliver."
"Interference of Political Leaders in MAA Elections is a bad precedent. I don't want to reveal their names. Rajendra Prasad seeking the help of Politicians to warn me is something that never happened. I took it as a challenge from then onwards and why not a woman president! Can't a Maa be the president of MAA Association?".
