This is how he reacted on Nandi Awards controversy - 'Nandi Awards announced from 1989 to 2017 are stupid, humbug and non-sense. All are wrong why because I haven't received any award during this period! If I get an award, It's right! If I don't receive an award, It's wrong! I don't bother who else got it and who didn't! I am a very selfish guy'.
Were you hurt for not receiving Nandi for Gulabi, JD replied: 'Not just Gulabi, I had done good films before and after that movie. When they don't recognize Me, how could I like them?'.
When quizzed if he is playing Chandrababu's role in 'Lakshmi's NTR', JD clarified he had no clue about it.
Asked why four biopic of NTR are happening all of sudden, JD opined: 'NTR is a great human being and great actor. Everyone have their their freedom of expression'.
