Jersey makers lock a festive season for release

Bollywood star Shahid Afridi, who is currently shooting for his upcoming Sports drama Jersey, the official remake of Telugu film Jersey starring Natural Star Nani shared a big update about the film release.
Shahid Kapoor took to Instagram to share the new still and release date of Jersey. In the still Shahid can be seen holding the cricket bat donning the Cricket uniform.
"JERSEY releasing in theatres this DIWALI 5th November 2021. The triumph of the human spirit. A journey I am so very proud of. This ones for the TEAM .... (sic), " Shahid's post reads.
The film released got delayed due to Corona situations and lockdown. The crew wrapped up Jersey shooting in December.
"Diwali is the biggest family festival of the year, and is the perfect time to bring 'Jersey,' a family sports drama to audiences, a time when all families can come together to celebrate this journey," Gill said.
Talking about the film release, producer Aman Gill said it's a good decision to bring Jersey on Diwali as the festive season is the biggest season for the films.
Gowtham Tinnanuri, who directed the original version of Telugu Jersey is also helming the Hindi version. Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur are essaying crucial roles in the sports drama.
