How Jyothika missed acting opposite Venky?

Believe it or not, Trisha isn't the first choice for Venkatesh-Selvaraghavan's 'Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule'. Actually, Makers had approached Jyothika first. Even the 'Tagore' Actress liked the script very much and signed the movie on the dotted line. She was even paid advance for being part of the project.
However, Jyothika couldn't work for the project as her longtime boyfriend Suriya brought the marriage proposal to her and the wedding date got fixed.
Though Jyothika missed the opportunity, Suriya bagged the chance to work under Selvaraghavan's direction now. He immediately gave his nod when the acclaimed filmmaker approached him with a bound script. The concept of the project is so fresh that Suriya feels the necessity to reinvent himself yet again.
Currently, Jyothika is working for Tamil flick 'Magalir Mattum' which is being produced by Suriya.
