Kaala Failed To Break Kabali Records

Rajinikanth's latest movie Kaala recently hit the theatres in the last week. The expectations of this movie were not that high. Rajinikanth who hasn't promoted any of his Telugu movies till now attended the pre-release event to promote the movie. Though he has stated that they did a good movie, he failed to increase the hype about the film.
Director Pa Ranjith who did Kabali movie with Rajinikanth helmed Kaala movie as well. As Kabali movie became a disaster at the box office, the audience does not have any hopes on Kaala movie. Even after the release, the mouth talk hasn't shown any effect and now this is going to is showing a big impact on the collections of Kaala. Especially in the Overseas the distributors seems to face huge losses because of the movie. When compared to the Kabali movie, Kaala hasn't even made fourth of the collections. With the premieres, Kaala bagged $5.20lacs but the overall movie still earned 2.25 lakh dollars. To sum up the first weekend collections, Kaala movie made $1.55 million in the overseas.
But in the case of Kabali, the premiers made $1.9million but the overall collections by the weekend crossed 4 Million. Kaala doesn't even seem to break Kabali records. Based on the mouth talk, we can't expect Kaala to do well at the box office. The trade analysts are commenting that the movie won't be able to reach the break-even point as well.
