Rs 90 Crore Loss! What Is This Rajini?

'Kaala' has been one of the biggest disasters in the career of Rajinikanth. Trade circles estimate the loss could be not less than Rs 90 crore and the recovery is only 45.6%.
Theatrical Rights of 'Kaala' were sold out for Rs 165 crore. In the full run, This Don Flick raked in a share of just Rs 75.1 crore and gross of Rs 150.4 crore.
None of the recent films of Rajinikanth were able to meet the expectations. Even 'Kabali' crashed at the box office after terrific openings. Particularly, The brand value of Thalaivar neared all-time low in the Telugu circuit. All those Distributors and Producers who invested on his dubbed flicks had incurred hefty loses. In the case of 'Robo 2.O', Investors are banking only on the reputation of Shankar. If not for the genius filmmaker, Neither the budget nor the business of the sci-fi flick would have been on such a level.
