Along with Tamilians, Telugu Audience have eagerly waited forrn this high-budget venture to hit the screens. Has this Karthi-starrer rnmatched the expectations?
Synopsis:
Kashmorarn (Karthi), a fake baba who pretends as if he is a terror for Ghosts for rnlivelihood, dupes people. In the same manner, He cheats a Minister too rnand fled away with his money. Just when everything seems to going as perrn his plan, A Man approaches Kashmora to get rid of the ghosts in his rnpalace which has a history of 700 Years. After entering the palace, rnKashmora realizes that the place is haunted by evil spirits but he was rnhelpless. Raj Nayak, a ghost which is in the palace for several rncenturies, is after Kashmora. What's the past of Raj Nayak? Was Kashmorarn able to survive? Know more in theatres near you!
Performances:
Karthirn excelled as Kashmora and Raj Nayak. Especially, He is exceptional as rnRaj Nayak and effort put in by him could be seen on the screen. His rnmannerisms, expressions, body language and dialogue delivery were too rngood. He generates rib-tickling comedy in the role of Kashmora. Karthi rnshowed variations between both the roles to such an extent that one getsrn the doubts if the roles were done by two different actors.
Althoughrn she have a less screen time, Nayantara left a mark of her own on the rnmovie. Sri Divya is alright. Vivek tickles the funny bone. Rest of the rncast have done justice to their roles.

Technicalities:
Allrn the Technicians have contributed to the best of their abilities for rn'Kashmora'. Santhosh Narayanan's Music is refreshing. Though none of thern songs except 'Oya..Oya' makes an impression, Background Score is rnterrific. Special mention for the Re-recording in the Flashback rnepisodes. Camera Work by Om Prakash is top notch. Art Director Rajeevan rnhas done a fabulous job. All the sets erected by him added value to the rnfilm. Visual Effects were awesome. Of course, Some of them look rnartificial as well. PVP Cinema didn't compromise on Production Values.
Onern gets the feeling if Director Gokul himself is in a confused state. If rnnot for his failure in offering a convincing narration, 'Kashmora' couldrn have set a new benchmark altogether. However, The command he have on rncomedy will fetch him accolades.
Analysis:
Firstrn things first, 'Kashmora' is a film which can't be restricted to a rnsingle genre. Its a mixture of Comedy, Horror & Fantasy Elements. rnThe idea was to make it join the league of 'Magadheera', 'Arundathi' rn& 'Baahubali'. Yes, It has got grandeur, splendid art work & rnextraordinary visual effects. But, Required Intensity has gone missing rnand Narration plays the spoilsport.
Flashback Episode which is rnbeing highlighted in the posters & promos lasts for only 30 minutes.rn Even these period sequences look very ordinary. Director hasn't made rnany attempts to make audience get into the right mood. Flashback failed rnto create necessary impact due to lack of soul and the narration was in arn lighter-vein manner until it began. Of course, Some good performances, rnlavish sets and visual effects make it bearable.
Comedy generatedrn by Karthi as Fake Baba is the major asset of 'Kashmora'. Scenes of rnKarthi cheating People and conversation with Ghost are hilarious. First rnHalf of 'Kashmora' is largely entertaining. The actual story begins in rnthe Interval. Thereafter, Director appeared to be clueless on how to rndeal the subject.
After the Flashback episode, The film was rndragged a bit unnecessarily and Climax wasn't executed well. A run time rnof more than 2-and-a-half hours is a major drawback. Makers should have rneasily trimmed 20 minutes. Though it have few high points, 'Kashmora' rndoesn't fall in the list of wholesome entertainer.
Bottom Line: A Khichdi of Three Genres!
