'Kala Chashma', the Punjab folklore song, was originally penned by Punjab Police Head Constable in the 90s. The same song has been used for Bollywood flick 'Baar Baar Dekho' and it has become famous Worldwide.

Police Constable Amrik Singh who is a native of Talwandi Chaudhrian village near Jalandhar had expected the song written by him to be used in a feature film. It was two months ago, A friend of the 43-Year-Old Cop informed him that his son 'Kala Chasma' was being played on the channels.

Mr.Singh says he was happy and shocked to know about 'Kala Chashma' track in the Bollywood flick. He offered the rights of the song for a mere Rs 11,000 when a Mumbai-based cement firm .

Amrik Singh doesn't hold grudge against anyone but feels bad about the fact that none from Team of 'Baar Baar Dekho' invited him for the music launch and screening of the movie. He wishes to go to Mumbai and convey a person small village has penned the chartbuster song.

The Cop has written 'Kaala Chashma' when he was in Class 9th and at the age of 15. Singer Amar Arshi sung the song at a function in England. Later, A music company released it in England and it went on to become a big success. Thereafter, A Chandigarh-based firm released the track in Punjab and it was a hit there as well.
