Kalki Flop, Brochevarevarura Hit At US Box Office

In the month of June, Only Three Straight Telugu Films (Kalki, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, Brochevarevarura) drew the attention of Movie Buffs.
'Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya' hit the screens a week before the other two films and has done exceedingly well at the Box Office. It managed to collect a gross of anywhere around $250k to emerge as a hit.
'Kalki' carried good expectations because of the impressive promos. Content of this Prashant Varma-directorial was no where close to the hype. It settled for just $25k in the first weekend at US due to negative reviews and poor word-of-mouth.
Last but not least, 'Brochevarevarura' hit the bull's eye by grossing over $200k in the first weekend. Success of this Sree Vishnu and Nivetha Thomas-starrer proved content matters the most. Distributors and Exhibitors were happy with the Box Officer performance of this kidnap drama. They believe positive word-of-mouth will fetch much more returns in the coming days.
