TANA, the American Telugu NRIs association decided to give NTR memorial award on the actor's birth anniversary in the remembrance of the legendary actor every year. This year too, TANA announced the award and whenever they give away the coveted award they invite someone from the family of Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao on 28th May and give away the award. Whenever TANA invites any celebrity, they pay the flight charges and also take care if their boarding and loading facilities.
Yearly, the budget for this invitation goes beyond 10 thousand dollars and this year, they invited Kalyanram for the function. The actor accepted their invite and requested them to donate the money they have allotted to spend on his ticket and hotel charges to an NRI student's welfare. He ensured that he will attend the function without fail on his own. Well, the man proved his big heart and for this year, he will be receiving the NTR memorial award too.
