OMG: Kamal Haasan to skip Voting!

At the launch of his trilingual flick 'Sabash Naidu' which is going to be an extension of Balram Naidu's role in 'Dasavatharam', Kamal Haasan declared he willn't be in Tamil Nadu on the voting day (May 16th) to cast his vote in the Assembly elections. The actor informed that he will reach USA few days before the polling day to start the work of his next project.
Raising concern over the trend of voters accepting money for vote, Kamal Haasan warned taking cash for vote will only allow a thief to become a leader. He felt the voters should be ashamed of such a practice and politicians who offer cash won't address the concerns of people who accept it. 'Voters have right to question the politicians only if they don't accept money,' he opined.
Kamal pointed out that his name was missing in the voters list during 2009 Lok Sabha elections. It was only after media highlight the error, EC included his name in the list. He casted his vote in 2011 Assembly & 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
Reacting to Kamal's comments, Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni released the scan of the actor's name in voters list. Even the official Twitter handle of the poll panel appealed Kamal to cast his vote as he is a role model for millions of people.
