Kamathipura slam Gangubai Kathiawadi filmmakers

Gangubai Kathiawadi movie is releasing on 25th February and the buzz about the movie is positive. Alia Bhatt is cast as the leading lady and Ajay Devgn is playing an extended cameo.
Alia Bhatt will be seen as a prostitute who grows into a political leader in the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali produced and directed the film.
In the theatrical trailer, makers used dialogues that indicate Kamathipura as a Red Light Area with prostitution as the main attraction of the area.
Already family members of Gangubai Kathiawadi have gone to court about the film dishonoring the memory of the great political leader. They claim that the lady never worked as a prostitute.
Now, Kamathipura, South Bombay, residents have gone to court asking them to mute the word Kamathipura from the film as it undermines their area. Also, the residents have asked the court to consider the kind of ridicule that they would face post the movie release.
Well, makers refused to comment on the court pleas. They also chose to keep quite on the slay comments by Kangana Ranaut against Alia too.
