Karan Johar's 'Dostana' which came out in 2008 was a good hit among the A centers. The star filmmaker has been planning to make a sequel for a very long time and finally took it on floors in 2019. The lockdown was imposed within a few weeks after its start and the makers are yet to restart it. Starring Karthik Aryan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, 'Dostana 2' is expected to restart soon. News is that the makers are planning to make a lot of changes to the script.

As we know, Karan Johar is facing a lot of negativity and criticism after encouraging nepotism. It intensified after the unfortunate demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. At this time, he reportedly doesn't want to come up with anything controversial. 'Dostana 2' was supposed to be a story where a brother and sister both loving the same guy. The gay storyline may not be accepted by people and it may draw a lot of backlash which Karan Johar is trying to avoid right now. On the other hand, the news is that Karthik Aryan also expressed his concerns over showing him as a homosexual in the film.
