Karnataka Government recommending Padma Shri award for Tollywood director SS Rajamouli has pleasantly surprised everyone. Why did the Governments of Telugu States fail to recognize the local talent?
Today, SS Rajamouli reveals he was approached by AP Government seeking his approval for recommending his name for Padma honour. However, The filmmaker insisted not to do so and Government dropped the idea after repeated requests from him.
Rajamouli was pleasantly surprised when his name featured in the list of Padma Award winners this year as he wasn't consulted by anyone till date. When enquired about it, The 'Baahubali' Director came to know that Karnataka Government has done it.
Finally, Jakkanna claims he is the son of four out of five Southern states for a reason. Here it is…'I was born in Karnataka, studied in Andhra Pradesh, worked in Tamil Nadu and settled in Telangana. Happy to be a son of all the states'.
