Karthi has proved himself as a different actor with his Tamil debut film 'Paruthi Veeran' itself. He continued his experimentation with films like 'Yuganiki Okkadu'. He achieved fan following in Telugu with films like 'Na Peru Siva'.. 'Avara'.. 'Oopiri'.. 'Kashmora'. Even though his last film 'Cheliyaa' disappointed the audience, he is coming up with his new film.
The title of his upcoming film is 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' and it is directed by H. Vinoth. Director is saying that this film is based on a news published in 2005. He is saying that they have tried to retain the reality in the film as far as possible. Vinoth said to have met some police officers during he scripting stage. The film has been shot in the locations of North India as part of the story. The filmmakers are said to be picturizing some scenes for Telugu audience to reflect Telugu nativity in the dubbing version.
Karthi is romancing Rakul Preet Singh in this film. Abhimanyu Singh is playing the villain role. Ghibran is scoring music. This movie is produced by SR Prabhu under Dream Warriors banner. Filmmakers are eyeing on September release.
