Karthi Opens Up About The Possibility Of 'Khaidi 2'!

Handsome Tamil hero Karthi is a name that needs no introduction to the Telugu audience. Right from 'Yuganiki Okkadu' and 'Awaara' which came out 13 years back, he is impressing the Telugu people and developed a stable market AP & Telangana. Despite a few flops here and there, he delivered some memorable hits like 'Naa Peru Shiva', 'Khaki', 'Oopiri', 'Shakuni' and others.
His 'Khaidi' can be termed as one of his best works and Lokesh Kanagaraj's screenplay and execution have stunned everyone. The film was a massive hit in Tamil as well as Telugu. It is termed as a cult classic and many knew that the director announced the sequel straight away. It got delayed due to commitments of Karthi.
In the meanwhile, Lokesh made 'Master' with Vijay which partly impressed the audience while his last outing 'Vikram' with Kamal Hassan turned out to be a blockbuster. Interestingly, Lokesh created a universe where he managed to link the story of 'Khaidi' to 'Vikram' and hinted at a possible entry of Karthi's Dilli character in 'Vikram 2'.
Karthi is currently promoting his upcoming film 'Viruman' and when asked about the possibility of 'Khaidi 2', he confirmed that it is very much on the cards. He said that it will commence in the first few months of 2023 as Lokesh is currently busy with Vijay's project. At the same time, Karthi stayed silent about his possible entry in 'Vikram 2' and the much-hyped face-off between Rolex and Dilli characters. Karthi's brother and star hero Suriya was introduced as Rolex at the end of 'Vikram' and Dilli was also shown at that time. We need to wait and see what Lokesh Kanagaraj has in mind.
