He Wanted Rajni's Autograph But Got His Film!
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Dec 2018 10:16 AM GMTSuperstar Rajnikanth is one of the few actors who is still driven to be part of good movies and work with different technicians. He makes sure that he wactched all the good movies of that year and many film makers try to get a chance to show him their work too.
Karthik Subbaraj who made Pizza and Jigarthanda that made many notice him and his work seriously, is an ardent Rajni fan.
He wanted his idol to see Pizza but he didn't know if that will come true. The director himself shared the story.
He said, "I and Bobby Simha decided to go and watch the movie in a Madurai theatre to know the pulse of the audience. At that time, I got a call from landline and the other people said Rajni sir will speak.
I thought some friends are pulling a prank. But Rajni sir appreciated our work and I was flying high.
After that I told him I am making Jigarthanda and he wished me the best. Post release, I wanted him to watch the film, but he was busy with Lingaa.
I asked Karunas to ask him to watch the film, but got surprised to know that he already did. I went to his office for a photo and an autograph.
But only took photo and for autograph went to his shooting spot with my diary. He asked me if I have a story for him and I did narrate one. That is Petta.
He asked me why I did not offer him Jigarthanda Bobby Simha's role but this one will create more impact than that," concluded the director.
