MM Keeravani decided that he won't to do movies that don't excite him anymore. He even went onto say that after Baahubali, he wants to retire and thanked K. Raghavendra Rao and Nagarjuna for being his motivators.
He took back the decision when Rajamouli asked him to do at least few films or his films on stage. He accepted to give music very selectively.
Last year he gave music for Savyasachi and accepted NTR biopic, RRR. In an interview, he talked about biopic and said, "I don't think scoring music for a biopic is difficult. I did give an emotional touch to the kind of a dry story with music in NTR. For that Krish had specific plans and I tried to live up to his vision.
If you think about it, I did biopics like Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu, Shiridi Sai before and this may not have such devotional elements, but I did approach it the same way."
In the same interview, he revealed a secret about RRR, he confirmed that it is a period drama. "I will start composing for RRR with SS Rajamouli from March and we will have fusion with period and trendy music for sure," said the composer.
