Nag Ashwin of 'Yevade Subrahmanyam' fame is mulling to make the biopic of legendary actress Savithri. A lot of Heroines such as Nithya Menan, Vidya Balan and Samantha were approached for the role. Finally, Keerthy Suresh bagged the golden opportunity.
Biopic of Savithri is being titled as 'Mahanati'. Only an actress with impeccable acting calibre could pull-off such a role. That's why, brilliant performers were considered to play the titular role. Not a surprise, Keerthy Suresh who is known as the Expression Queen was finalized.
Keerthy Suresh have interesting line-up of films in Telugu. After 'Nenu Local', She will be seen opposite Pawan Kalyan in Trivikram's flick and simultaneously shoots for 'Mahanati'.
Makers have already zeroed in on the actors who will be essaying the roles of NTR, ANR, SV Ranga Rao, Gemini Ganesan and Gummadi in the biopic. Samantha has come forward to give voice-over. Ashwini Dutt's Daughters bankroll this project.
