Keerthy Suresh Answers To Jammuna ..

Senior actress Jammuna is a great friend of Legendary actress, Savitri. They both have come into the industry at the same time, but Savitri is one or two years senior to Jammuna.

They both worked together in many films, like Missamma, Gundamma Katha and many more. They both shared cordial relations ever since their first meeting.

Jammuna in a recent interview said, "I heard an young director is making movie on Savitri. I don't know how much he knows about her but he never tried to talk to me who knew her from a long time. They have even cast a non-Telugu girl in a Telugu actress role. I can't even imagine that. I don't know if there is any actress who can even act like Savitri in their dreams."

To her remarks, Keerthy Suresh gave an answer in one of her interviews.

She said that people should wait till the movie releases to critique on her performance. She said, "I spoke Savitri's daughter, Vijayachamundeshwari, too know about her mannerisms. I took lessons from experts on how to act like her on screen and tried to embody her in real life too."

She also revealed that she attended workshops and submitted test videos and auditioned for the role numerous times for director, Naga Ashwin to get convinced about her capabilities to perform like Savitri.

She also revealed, "I did not just talk to experts, I even read books about her and tried to understand how she used to be in real life. It is easy to criticise but it would be better, if they criticise me after watching the film."

She also said that there are similarities between how they are in real life. "Like Savitri garu, I too like swimming, car driving, and cricket. These similarities are uncanny and I too couldn't believe after knowing them. May be there is a cosmic connection, "she remarked.

The movie, Mahanati, a biopic on life of Savitri is being written and directed by Naga Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi movies. Dulquer Salmaan, Mohan Babu, Shalini Pandey are playing important roles in the film along with Keerthy Suresh.
