The MeToo movement can easily be called as a revolutionary movement in the Indian film industry. Many actresses from various industries came out strongly and confessed all the harassments they have undergone to survive in the industry. This movement has exposed the dark side of the film industry.
The latest entrant of this campaign is actress Kani Kusruthi, who was seen in the films like Cocktail, Pisassu and Shikkar. The actress was well known for her performance in the short film Maa. But unfortunately, she had to quit the industry as she was fed up dealing with the producers who ask for sexual favors in order to cast her in their films.
Kani also revealed that many filmmakers would often try to convince her mother to send her to them. By encountering such sick minds, Kani has finally decied to quit acting and is now pursuing another career. But she expressed her happiness on MeToo movement and hoped that it would bring a change in the industry slowly.
