Trailer Talk: Khamoshi - Is Tamanna Looking To Be Horror Queen!

Horror movies have become less expensive to make and easy to get audiences attention. In India, if you can make a good horror film and have interesting trailers, you can double your profits.
Bhooth, Raaz series are best examples of such films. There are erotic horror films like Alone, Murder series, Ragini MMS but gore horror hasn't been explored in India as much as other forms.
If a film that uses a slasher or a serial killer as main antagonist, we can call it gore horror. Khamoshi seems to mix silence with gore.
Visually, the movie needs to have horrifying images as protagonist Tamanna cannot hear or speak and it seems to give rise to visual horror more than sound.
But the same has been explored in Hush film in Hollywood and this film seems to be a remake or freemake of it. Prabhu Deva is doing Horror films as an actor more and Tamanna is more often finding roles with him.
They have Devi 2/ Abhietri 2 in South languages and Khamoshi in Hindi. Tamanna doesn't have to show off her skin in Khamoshi but Prabhu Deva seems to have tough time selling Serial killer role.
Chakri Toleti tried to remake A Wednesday as Eenadu in Telugu, Tamil with Kamal Hassan, Mohan Lal, Venkatesh and made Billa 2 with Ajith in Tamil. Both ended up as films that could have been better!
Trailer doesn't give us much to route for him even in this horror film too. Like Bipasha Basu, Tamanna seems to be trying her luck as Horror Queen! Let's see how she and her director will fare?!
