Kicha Sudeep's Pehlwaan An Ode To 'Sultan'?

Salman Khan did movie Sultan few years ago on pro-wrestling and it became a huge blockbuster.

Written by Krishna, Pehlwan starring Kicha Sudeepa, seems similar to the movie and also has some visuals close to it.

But Salman Khan is happy with the baddie of his Dabbangg 3's movie and he is even promoting the film.

Megastar Chiranjeevi launched the first look of the film in Telugu as he wanted to support his co-star from Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.

Varahi Chalanachitram is distributing the Telugu version in two Telugu states. Movie is expected to be as big Pan-India hit as KGF Chapter-1.

Kannada Industry saw a good grosser in Kurukshetram by Daring Star Darshan, who played Duryodhana in the film. Movie was said to be inspired by Dana Veera Sura Karna, the Telugu classic.

Now, Pehlwaan is expected to increase their market reach over South India and even in North India, where Sudeepa is known.

Still similarity with Sultan can become a problem. Still Sultan himself seems to be really impressed by the film.
