Koratala overcooked few parts in undercooked Acharya

Koratala Siva for the first time failed as a director and that too with a crazy combination like Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mega Power Star Ram Charan coming together for the first time.

What really did go wrong? The movie took a bad opening due to lack of buzz for the project. With two big stars coming together, no one can expect a film to have low buzz.

But Acharya had low buzz because of the unpopular songs. Mani Sharma couldn't gel with the famous composer as much as he did with Devi Sri Prasad. Megastar wanted Mani and the director accepted but he could have chosen in-form composers other than the senior, if he was uncomfortable. Because songs did not match the taste of the director and BGM is like the film.

Scenes are really overcooked especially, scenes between Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi. Rather than letting the story flow organically, they seem to have been incorporated just to entertain fans.

Hence, the artificiality is seen. Entire film is undercooked with nothing working but those scenes are overcooked. The feel that Koratala Siva wanted to carry through out the film did not work out at all. As he missed out on sequences that would really help to create a character for the lead.

Whom did he want to project as a main lead in the story, Siddha or Acharya has remained confusing aspect of the film. This is Chiranjeevi's film for the audiences and it should have been Chiranjeevi story with Siddha as an addition.

Siva seemed to have worked under severe pressure to deliver something big and unique. Had he sticked to his strengths or tried to give a new treatment to such old plot, movie might have been not so bad.
