Did Koratala just buy a story for crore?
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 April 2017 9:09 AM GMTKoratala Siva ran into legal trouble recently, over the story of Srimanthudu with Mahesh Babu and team. The director tried to convince the court that there was no plagiarism involved and tried to settle the matter amicably with the other party involved. After this fiasco, the director seems to have grown extremely cautious about plagiarism and if he found out there is even a slightest similarity to some other writer's intelligence, he is immediately trying to pay off the copy rights to use the said storyline or sequence in his film.
Recently, a gossip is going around in the industry that the director of Mirchi, Srimanthudu and Janata Garage paid a hefty sum of Rs. One crore to writer-director Sridhar Nanu for the story of Bharat Ane Nenu, his next film with Mahesh Babu. The movie will soon go onto the floors once Mahesh completes the last leg of shooting for his spy thriller with AR Murugadoss. It is slated to begin with foreign schedule in London in May as off latest update.
Now, the sources close to the director claim that being highly impressed by the story and the exciting sequences, the director paid the amount to Sridhar for his story. Sridhar Nanu already wrote and directed two films, Thakita Thakita and Sathyabhama. Both the films did not become box office hits and paying such a hefty amount does indicate that the story is extremely good but one feels the director might have been shaken up by the claims earlier.
