Koratala Siva is one of the rare breed of directors who strikes a fine balance between commerciality and message. He deals with socially relevant subjects but the message will run through the film as an undercurrent. Apart from his filmmaking skills, Koratala is known for his strong connections among the film distributors.
When most of the big ticket films are tanking at the box office, buyers were skeptical to invest huge on Koratala Siva- Mahesh Babu film 'Bharat Ane Nenu'. Koratala understood the situation and requested the buyers in his friend circle to invest in the film. He assured them of the success and promised them to take responsibility if the movie fails at the box office. Believing Koratala, they have invested in the film for the prices the director demanded. Even Dil Raju reportedly acquired Nizam rights for an outright price recently.
There is a buzz in the film circles that Koratala will get additional money if the movie makes table profits as he handled all the distribution deals. Among the table profits, first 10 crores will go to the producer and additional 8 crores will be pocketed by Koratala. It is known that Koratala charged Rs.20 crore remuneration for the film. So, Koratala will pocket a total of Rs.28 crores for 'Bharath Ane Nenu'. Except for Rajamouli, no other Telugu director will get this kind of remuneration for a single film!
