Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut has proved her talent several times already. Even though she has proved her talent, she iss fond of doing Rani Lakshmibai biogrpahy. It is her dream project. In one of her past interviews she said that she will write the script on her own and direct the Rani Lakshmibai biography. Going by this, we can understand her liking towards doing the project.
There were reports in the past that director Ketan Mehta will be handling the project. Pre-production work also was done to some extent.. but somehow the project didn't materialize. The same project has landed into the kitty of talanted director Krish recently. Senior writer Vijayendra Prasad said to have asked Kangana to watch 'Gautami Putra Satakarni' and Kangana obliged his suggestion. After watching GPS, she got to know about the talent of Krish.
There is a talk that this project landed in to the hands of Krish through Vijayendra Prasad. Rajamouli-Krish close friendship is said to be the main reason behind it. The movie is going to be made with the title 'Manikarnika'(the birthname of Rani Lakshmibai). It is produced under the banner of First Frame Entertainments. As a Bollywood film, it will surely get a wider release.. if everything goes well, Krish will surely create history in Bollywood.
