Krishna completes 50 years as hero

Superstar hero Krishna has a big reason to celebrate. He is known as star hero in the past and later tried hand at character roles. Now that his son Mahesh Babu has become the next big superstar, the senior stopped singing films regularly. The good news is that he will be completing 50 years as a hero in a couple of days.
After taking up side-character offers for a while, Krishna became a mainstream hero when legendary director Adhurthi Subbarao launched him with “Tene Manasalu”. That film released on March 31st, 1965. It marked the arrival of new hero despite the ANR-NTR domination at that time. In time, Krishna went on to become star hero with many award wining, sensational and commercial blockbusters in his kitty.
