Trailer Talk: Grand But Over-The-Top 'Laxmmi Bomb'!
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 Oct 2020 10:10 AM GMTIt is known that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has remade hit South Indian horror-comedy 'Kanchana' as 'Laxmmi Bomb'. The film was supposed to have a grand release during summer but the pandemic forced the team to opt for an OTT release. 'Laxmmi Bomb' is releasing in Disney Hotstar on November 9th and the trailer has been released recently.
Compared to the original, the film looks grand and Akshay Kumar seems to have completely nailed his role. He will be seen as a guy possessed by a transgender spirit in this film and the trailer reveals the story completely. Kiara Advani as the heroine looks ultra-glamorous. Despite all the glitter, the comedy looks way too loud and the acting is over-the-top in many places.
Akshay Kumar's look was perfect and the film is touted to be a horror-comedy that an entire family could watch but it seems like the film will have a lot of spooky scenes. The background score blasts your ears and the 'revenge is funnily explosive' tagline maybe true to this film.
Since we know the story of 'Kanchana', the trailer may seem way too loud and not-so engaging but some sections of the North audiences may like it. Raghava Lawrence directed this flick in Hindi too while Tusshar Kapoor and Fox Star Studios produced this flick. We need to see how far does this film entertains the audience despite its artificial and excessive attempts to bring laughter.
