Leading OTT Platform Bags Vaishnav Tej's Uppena Rights?

It is known Vaishnav Tej, the younger brother of Sai Dharam Tej is making his acting debut with Uppena, which is produced by Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers.
The film was supposed to release for 2020 summer, but the pandemic stalled the release and the makers are waiting for a perfect date to release it since then. During the lockdown, when the theatres are closed, many small and medium budget films opted direct digital release. However, the makers of Uppena held back the rights and did not release the film.
The latest we hear is leading OTT Platform, Netflix bagged the digital rights of the film for a record price. As per the buzz, the film will be released simultaneously on Netflix and theatres in 2021. Buchibabu Sana is the director and the film marks the debut of Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music.
Meanwhile, Vaishnav Tej is working with director Krish for his next flick with Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead.
