Legendary actress Manorma is no more

Tamil actress Manorama, who is popularly known as "Aachi", had passed away at a hospital in Chennai.The actress who has been suffering due to illness from few months died today.
Manorama is one of the senior-most actresses in South Indian cinema. She has been part of the industry for the past five decades.The actress has appeared in more than 1,500 movies and 1,000 plays.
She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1989.[14] She was the recipient of the Kalaimamani award by the government of Tamil Nadu. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2002. She holds a Guinness World Record for acting more than 1000 number of films.Manorama last appearance in Telugu was Arundathi in 2008. In tamil she last appeared in Surya’s Singam 2 movie.
