Legendary Filmmaker Announces Retirement

Most of Vishwananth's films are classics and they are regarded as study material for upcoming filmmakers. Vishwanath films brought great respect to Telugu films.. they have won appreciation from the filmmakers of other film industries also.
Vishwanath was felicitated by a group of Telugu people recently for achieving Dadasaheb Phalke award. While speaking on the occasion, Vishwanath said that "People have given me enough love and respect. I don't have any plans of directinga movie again.. as I don't have enough curiosity or patience to do that. I should retire respectfully now". But he said that he will continue to act in films.
Vishwanath's films 'Sankarabharanam'.. 'Sagara Sangamam'.. 'Swathi Muthyam'.. 'Swayam Krushi'.. 'Sirivennela' etc are regarded as classics of Telugu cinema. Vishwanath's last film 'Shubhapradam' is a decent film even though it is not in the standard of Vishwanath's regular films. Whatever be the case, we can say that it is a wise-decision from the legendary filmmaker to retire from diection.
