Legendary Rakesh Roshan Expresses His Opinion On South Cinema!
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Sep 2022 1:47 PM GMTVeteran actor Rakesh Roshan who enjoyed success as hero for decades and turned into a filmmaker later has given his opinion about why South cinema is getting more success compared to the Bollywood industry.
The legendary personality who made movies like 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', 'Koi Mil Gaya', 'Krrish', 'Krrish 3' and others with his son Hrithik Roshan said, "In the South, they are still sticking to stories from our roots and presenting them in a very advanced way keeping in mind the commercial sensibilities. If you look at films like RRR, Pushpa and Baahubali, they have beaten-to-death stories. Infact, Baahubali story is very similar to Karan Arjun but it was introduced on a large scale. And out Bollywood filmmakers don't know what has happened."
He added, "They have turned away from the roots of Indianness. They try to make so called 'modern cinema' but it is liked by only 1% of the population. This is not to the liking of B and C centres."
A lot of people on social media are agreeing to his words and they claim that it is high time that Bollywood realizes it and starts picking up subjects close to our roots. Rakesh Roshan is currently focusing on 'Krrish 4'. He is 72 years old and was diagnosed with carcinoma of the throat in 2019.
