One of India's greatest singers, legendary SP Balasubramanyam who left a strong mark in the music industry of India is no more. He was admitted in Chennai's MGM hospital on August 4th as he was affected with Coronavirus. After fighting with death for 41 days, he lost the battle as he died at 1:04 PM on 25th September. At the age of 74, he left everyone thereby leaving his millions of fans and family in tears.

He recovered from Corona but the treatment took a toll on his health and he was in critical condition from the last few days. His son SP Charan announced the demise of his father officially. The death of SP Balasubramanyam left millions of his fans heartbroken and the fact that we cannot hear his divine voice again makes everyone completely disgusted. The film industry has lost a legend and a precious jewel in its crown. His songs have the capacity to touch your heart, make you laugh, inspire you, and can even make you feel relaxed after a stressful day. He is a kind of singer who comes once in a century and his legacy remains with us from the next 100 years.

Born on June 4th, 1946 in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam marked his debut as a playback singer through 'Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna' in 1966. Over the career spanning for 55 years, SPB sung over 50,000 songs in 16 languages and even composed music for 45 films in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi. He also acted in more than 40 films in the South. He also dubbed for many stars like Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan in Telugu. SPB was given Padma Bhushan by the government of India. He gave life to many young talents through music shows. This is not a sad day just for his fans but also for every film lover.
