Two of the biggest forces in Tollywood came together for the action entertainer Liger in the form of Vijay Devarakonda and Puri Jagannadh making the film one of the much-awaited films. The film hit the theatres with massive expectations due to various reasons. Team Liger was very confident about the film and they reportedly refused an OTT deal.

Even before Liger was released, Puri Jagannadh-Vijay Deverakonda announced another pan-India film, Jana Gana Mana. Things would have been different if Liger had turned out as a money spinner. With the film emerging as a box office dud, Jana Gana Mana faced the heat reportedly.

As per the grapevine, makers have decided to not go forward with Jana Gana Mana. Reports say that producing partners are not showing interest in going forward after looking at the Liger result. One after the other, the partners are taking the exit route.

Making a Pan-India film is not a small thing and the makers understood it with Liger. A few media reports say that Puri and Vijay Devarakonda are settling the losses for distributors reportedly. At this junction, they cannot bankroll the film and producers are not showing interest reportedly.

Though there is no official confirmation on this, free media outlets carried out stories saying that Puri and Vijay Devarakonda decided to stop further developments as far as the film is concerned.

Liger started its theatrical run with a mixed talk which later turned into flop talk. As a result, the Vijay Devarakonda starrer. In the northern belt, Liger failed to create a big impact. A veteran producer lashed out at Vijay and called him arrogant. The issue was settled after Vijay met the producer and clarified his statements.

Success is a big factor in the film industry and success determines the future of the actors and makers. This is proved once again with Liger. Jana Gana Mana which was announced in a big manner also got impacted reportedly.

Makers of Jana Gana Mana met Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh after the project was announced. They even visited an army base and met the army officials there. Puri, Vijay Devarakonda, Charmee Kaur, and others went to the army camp in a helicopter.
