Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu show, the Telugu version of most popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati has given a new lease of life to Akkineni Nagarjuna's career. The actor was at his all-time career low during the time due to disasters like Greekuveerudu, Bhai.
Manam helped him give a comeback films wise but his popularity among families grew more due to MEK show and as a host he became popular too. His lines, "Nenu Mee Nagarjuna" and "Chinna viramam Chitikelo vasthanu" have become so popular that even kids started imitating him at houses.
Later, he gave up on hosting the show for Megastar Chiranjeevi as the star actor wanted to have an interaction with audiences before his Khaidi No.150 release. Megastar hosting was liked by his hardcore fans but general audiences did not warm up to him as much.
Hence, the show came back on a different channel as Evaru Meelo Koteeswarudu with Jr. NTR as host for the new season. With Mahesh, Samantha episodes the show was able to put decent enough numbers by the end of the season.
On the other hand, Bigg Boss Telugu has been Nag's new pet show and he has been able to draw in great numbers for his weekend hosting episodes. Even Jr. NTR got good name as a host during his stint for Bigg Boss Telugu first season.
Looking at all these developments, Nandamuri Balakrishna decided to become a host himself but for OTT platform AHA. Strong buzz in the media circles and industry is that Unstoppable show has made NBK more relatable to public and that helped him in putting up big numbers for Akhanda as opening along with combination craze of Bala-Boyapati Sreenu.
