List: Congress bigwigs who lost elections

The state bifurcation issue had totally uprooted Congress party from both the regions of the state. Seema Andhra people have voted it out for granting Separate Telangana state and Telangana people saw its intention of taking political advantage. The 150 years old party became clueless in seemandhra and unable to open its share.

Former PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana got defeated in Cheepurupalli Assembly Constituency with a huge margin of over 21,000 votes. TDP Candidate bagged the seat.Another Minister Danam Nagender met with the same fate in Khairatabad Assembly Constituency.

Both the Pradesh Congress Committee Presidents Ponnala Lakshmaiah (in Telangana) and Raghuveera Reddy (in Seema Andhra) lost their seats. Several ministers in Telangana region lost and it may noted that some of the Congress leaders who took active part in Telangana agitation also lost due to Anti-Government vote.
