Synopsis:
Murali rn(Posani Krishna Murali) separates his Son Raja (Varun Tej) from his rnMother (Revathi) and earns money through him. While Murali makes his rnwife believe his son is no more, He convinces his son that his mother rnhas passed away. The Father-Son lead life as loafers by doing petty rncrimes in Jodhpur. One fine day, Raja falls in love with Mouni (Disha rnPatani) but her Aunt (Revathi) doesn't like him. How does Raja comes to rnknow about her Mother? Does his love story have a happy ending? Performances:
Varun Tej's screen presence and new look were superb. He performs well in the sentiment scenes & fights.
Disharn Patani looks gorgeous and glamour is her big investment to succeed in rnFilm Industry. Particularly, Its a treat to watch her in the 'Nee Vaalu rnKallu' song. She, however, has nothing much to perform in the talkie rnportions.
The role of Revathi falls short of expectations but shern leaves her mark with superb performance. Posani tickles the funny bone rnwith his typical dialogue delivery. 'Thammudu' spoof by Ali is partly rnentertaining. Brahmanandam appears only for few minutes. Villains rnover-acted to say the least.

Musicalrn Score by Suniel Kashyap is fine. 'Nee Vaalu Kallu' is hummable and evenrn the BGM isn't bad. But, Using 'Veedu…Loafer' in the background during rnfights doesn't make sense. PG Vinda's camera work is flawless. Dialoguesrn penned for Posani's role were good. As writer & director, Puri rnfails to meet the standards set by him. He, however, leaves his mark in rnthe scene where Revathi explains the pain of a Mother. Nothing much to rncomplain about Production Values.
Analysis:
Purirn Jagannath is one director who is damn good at making films based on rnhero characterization and even scored even few blockbusters walking in rnthe same path. Off late, The freshness factor is missing in his projectsrn due to the repetitiveness and he was unable to come out of the trend hern has created. And the end result will be a poor product like 'Loafer'.
Afterrn watching trailer of 'Loafer', People got the feeling it has got traces rnof 'Ek Niranjan' and 'Amma Nanna Tamil Ammayi' but expected Puri might rnhave incorporate something interesting. Unfortunately, There is nothingrn of that sort in 'Loafer' and even the much hyped mother-sentiment failsrn to hit the right chord. Had if the screenplay was gripping, Some of thern flaws would have gone unnoticed but that wasn't the same in case of rn'Loafer'.
Except for few interesting scenes here and there, Therern is nothing much in 'Loafer' to make it an enjoyable experience for the rnaudience. Hero's Characterization and Love Track aren't impressive. rnPosani mark satires are the only relief in first half. Even in the rnsecond half, Only he manages to entertain the viewers. The emotional rnscene between Varun & Revathi has come out well. Both Pre-Climax andrn Climax were ordinary, lacking the much needed punch to the rnproceedings.
Bottom Line: Neither Idiot nor Pokiri!
