Shakeela is one of the popular film personalities in the South industry. She was shot to fame for her presence in the adult films during the 90s. There were days where Shakeela's movies outshined the existing star heroes of Malayalam film industry and the producers used to dub the films into other languages as well. Shakeela even made her debut in Tollywood and impressed in a lot of films.
Shakeela recently participated in an event where she opened up about her heart breaks. She elaborated one such incident where she experienced hell in a relationship. Shakeela acted in a film Chota Mumbai, in the year 2007 and it is the same time when her mother has fallen ill and the doctors advised on getting her operated with a surgery.
Shakeela who ran out of money approached the producer Manyam Pilla Raju who gave her complete remuneration even before the completion of the film. Having impressed with his kind gesture and attitude, Shakeela developed feelings for him and penned a love letter as well.
ManyamPilla Raju showed no response to the letter which made Shakeela understand that he is not interested in her. With a heavy heart, Shakeela is said to have tried to come out of the phase. "Many people cheated me in the name of love but he is the only one who did not take advantage of me even though I proposed my love to him." recollected Shakeela.
A film based on her life is currently in the production stage. Richa Chadda is playing the title role in the film.
