MAA Chief Vishnu says he did not receive resignations!
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Oct 2021 9:41 AM GMTThe issues and controversies related to Movie Artists Association (MAA) continue to unfold at regular intervals even after the elections were commenced. As the aftereffect of the elections, Prakash Raj's panel announced mass resignations as a token of showing their protest against the alleged irregularities and malpractice.
The resignations from the winning members of the Prakash Raj panel came days after the election result was out declaring Manchu Vishnu the winner of the MAA elections. This development was a big twist in the election row as no panel had announced resignations after the election defeat.
As if the existing developments are not enough, MAA President Manchu Vishnu gave a new dimension to the issue saying that he didn't receive any resignations from Prakash Raj panel members. I haven't received any resignations and hence I can't say anything on the issue, Manchu Vishnu said.
At the time when people were discussing the resignations of the members in the Prakash Raj panel, Vishnu said the resignations did not reach them. It has to be noted that earlier Manchu Vishnu said, he will not accept the resignations and he would like to work together with the opponent panel too as working for the MAA is their motto.
Manchu Vishnu went on to say that Prakash Raj might contest the MAA elections in the next term and he extended his wishes to Prakash Raj for the same. Best of luck for them, Vishnu said.
On the same occasion, Vishnu also gave clarity on Prakash Raj's allegations of being termed non-local. Neither I nor my panel members said that a non-Telugu member should not run the MAA elections. All this is rubbish, he said.
Prakash Raj who earlier demanded the MAA election officer to release the CCTV footage from the polling room had monitored the footage that is with the Jubilee Hills police right now. Prakash Raj said it will take one week time to see all the footage as it was recorded by multiple cameras. I will comment on the CCTV issue once I complete watching it. I will speak to the media on this, he said.
