Making his father and the whole nation proud, a 16-year-old had bagged a Silver medal in a Swimming event at the international level. He is the son of an actor who does films across the languages. The competition is held in Copenhagen under the freestyle category. While an olympian bagged the Gold, the youth had won the silver medal at the Danish Open.

The 16-year-old youth is Vedaant Madhavan, son of actor Madhavan. Vedaant is multi-talented and he has interests in various fields and sports. He is a famous swimmer and he has the credit of winning many medals at various levels.

At a young age, he had added another feather to his cap by winning the silver medal at the Danish Open. In the 1500m freestyle event, Vedaant Madhavan won the silver medal. Another youth Sajan Prakash had won Gold with his 1:59:27in the event.

Taking to social media, Madhavan said that with everyone's blessings the Indian Youths have won medals and the big stage and asked everyone to bless them. Madhavan also used the opportunity to thank Coach Pradeep, the Swimming Federation of India, and Aqua Nation Sports Academy.

"With all your blessings & Gods grace @swim_sajan and @VedaantMadhavan won gold and silver respectively for India, at The Danish open in Copenhagen. Thank you sooo much Coach Pradeep sir, SFI and ANSA. We are so Proud," Madhavan tweeted.

Vedaant and his father Madhavan are facing a flood of congratulatory messages from all corners. From the Bollywood film fraternity to sports lovers to netizens, everyone is congratulating the father-son duo. While Vedaant is being congratulated for winning the medal, Madhavan is being congratulated for his son's victory.

This is not the first time Vedaant had won the medals for the nation. Earlier, he brought a bronze medal for the country at the Latvia Open last year. At the prestigious Junior National Aquatic Championships too, Vedaant had won a few medals.

Ranganathan Madhavan aka R. Madhavan shot to fame with love stories and he was a heartthrob for girls in the 2000s. Later, he started experimenting with other roles like negative shade roles and villain roles. He has appeared in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films.
