Madras High Court Orders Vishal To Compensate 'Action' Producer

The production house of the film, 'Trident Arts' had filed a petition in the court stating that the actor owed the production house Rs 8 crore, to settle the losses of their film.
According to reports, the producer initially decided to produce the film on a lesser budget. But the actor pushed the producers to raise the budget and said that he would bear the losses if 'Action' fails to collect a minimum of Rs 20 crore.
The film collected Rs 7.7 crore in Tamil Nadu and Rs 4 crore in Telugu states. Since it failed to collect the minimum amount, the actor agreed to compensate by doing his next film under the production house. But, he did next film, Chakra on his own banner. "Action" was directed by Sundar C and also stars Tamannaah and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles.
