After delivering two blockbusters with 'Thuppakki' and 'Kaththi', Vijay and Murugadoss teamed up again for 'Sarkar' movie. The film has stirred up a fresh controversy with plagiarism issues this time.

Apparently, the story is similar to Varun Rajendran’s 'Sengol' which has been registered with the South Indian Film Writers Association (SWAN). The story was penned by Varun in 2007 and SWAN is ready to submit a letter to Varun Rajendran stating that the entire story of 'Sarkar' is same as 'Sengol'. The 'Sarkar' team is shocked and a suit has been filed in Madras High Court to stop the movie release. Varun Rajendran reportedly asked the remuneration of Rs 30 lakhs and credits for the script.

The judge asked to check the records and the hearing will take place next Thursday. Sun Pictures and AR Murugadoss also filed the caveat petitions. Varun Rajendran is saying that 'Sarkar' copied his story and made some minor changes.
