Maharshi...A Huge Flop On Television

Record TRPs will be the target whenever a Top Star's flick is screened on the Television for the first time ever. Unfortunately, Mahesh Babu-starrer 'Maharshi' failed to get at least half of the TRP expected from the World Television Premiere. Including Urban & Rural, TRP for this Silver Jubilee Flick of Superstar was just 8.42. In fact, Samantha-starrer 'Oh Baby' offered a tough fight to 'Maharshi' during the Dussehra period and it managed 6.12 TRP.
Films such as DJ (21.7 TRP), Fidaa (21.31 TRP), Geetha Govindam (20.8 TRP), Janatha Garage (20.69 TRP) and Rangasthalam (19.5 TRP) performed exceptionally well on Television. What happened to Maharshi? Is it just lack of interest among the public to watch this Mahesh-starrer?
Some say, Maharshi was streamed on Amazon Prime since few weeks before the Television premiere. This could have affected the viewership on Television.
Why this theory is applicable only for 'Maharshi'? Several other Films had performed so well on TV inspite of streaming on Amazon Prime much in advance.
