Chiranjeevi Liked That In Maharshi

Super Star Mahesh Babu's milestone film Maharshi is in the theatres currently. The movie released yesterday and is creating wonders at the box-office. But, the movie opened to mixed reviews from everyone. 8 out of ten reviews from the critics or the audiences carried the complaint that the film's runtime is high. The viewers felt that the film unit could have chopped off many scenes to make the movie crisper.
Vamsi Paidipally, the director of the movie has an answer for why the film's runtime is high. During the success meet that took place in Hyderabad this morning, the director tried to give an explanation which is neither convincing nor justifyng.
''We wanted to narrate the journey of Rishi in a elaborated manner. The journey of Rishi Kumar from CEO to farmer needs a lot of scenes to convince the audiences. At the same time, we wanted to throw more light on the issues of the farmers because of which, the runtime of the film is high.'' said the director.
Although Vamsi has his own reasons, he completely failed to explain why the film needs that length. Especially, the scenes involving Mukesh Rushi did not really help the film in any manner. A lot of such scenes contributed to the bad talk for the movie.
Nevertheless, the film unit is happy for the positive talk within the film industry. Mega Star Chiranjeevi is said to have watched the film and appreciated the director over the phone. ''Chiranjeevi garu spoke to me over the phone for more than five minutes. He mentioned about the agriculture scenes and village backdrop scenes. He personally liked the Weekend agriculture concept.'' said Devi Sri Prasad.
